The familiar phrase can signal apology, interruption, disbelief, confrontation, or a simple request to be acknowledged. Repeated, fragmented, inverted, and layered, its letters gradually loosen from their conventional meaning and become physical forms.

Encased in transparent acrylic, the typographic elements accumulate, scatter, divide, and reorganize. Some compositions compress language into dense fields; others isolate individual letters or suspend the phrase within open space. Red and clear forms shift between visibility and disappearance, while reflections and shadows complicate what can be read.

Across the series, language functions simultaneously as message, object, and barrier. Excuse Me considers how even the most ordinary expression can change through repetition and context—and how the desire to communicate can produce clarity, ambiguity, intimacy, and noise.
