This piece reinterprets the traditional everyday Hanbok by interweaving Marakami-inspired chiffon with striking black-and-white Italian cotton plaid. The familiar contours of Korean dress are transformed into a dynamic canvas where cultural heritage meets contemporary flair. The playful innocence of childhood is mischievously accentuated through animated Raggedy Ann-inspired hair styled into carefree ponytails, paired with bold silver patent leather boots that lend a modern, edgy twist. A gilded Venetian masquerade mask further deepens the enigma, inviting viewers to peer beyond the surface.By fusing these disparate elements, the artwork challenges conventional boundaries and explores the delicate duel between innocent childhood and mischievous sexuality. In assembling symbols from contrasting contexts, it provokes a reflection on identity and transformation—prompting us to reconsider the narratives embedded in cultural tradition.
