Designed as a custom sculptural chandelier for the lobby of LUX Costa Mesa, this installation embodies the building’s guiding concept: “Come Home for Vacation Every Day.” Inspired by water—the lobby’s natural element—the suspended brass rods and illuminated pendants cascade in rhythmic variation, evoking ocean waves and glistening reflections on the surface at sunset.

Floating beneath a double-height ceiling, the fixture transforms light into movement. By day, the polished rods catch ambient light like rippling water; by night, the suspended bulbs shimmer like sunlit fragments on the sea. The installation anchors the lobby with warmth and fluidity, creating an atmosphere that feels both elevated and effortlessly relaxed—resort living translated into everyday experience.
